Actively developing BlinkOS

Low-level systems programmer.

I work on operating system kernels, memory management, and command-line tools. I believe the best way to understand something is to build it from scratch.

About

I like digging beneath the abstractions.

I'm curious about what happens before a program even appears on the screen: how memory gets allocated, how interrupts are handled, and how a shell executes commands. Rather than just reading about these concepts, I try to understand them by implementing them myself.

My current focus is kernel development. Through BlinkOS, my hobby operating system, I'm exploring x86 protected mode, interrupt handling, and driver development. I also build small developer tools whenever I need them.

BlinkOS

Actively maintained

A hobby operating system built from scratch to explore kernel development and low-level systems programming. Its kernel architecture, exception handling, and drivers are all custom-implemented.

  • x86 protected mode
  • GDT / IDT
  • Hardware interrupts
  • PS/2 keyboard
  • VGA text mode
  • Basic shell

yalloc

Experimental

My own memory allocator. It uses a first-fit free-list design, includes a locking mechanism for thread safety, and has been tested for memory leaks using Valgrind.

gitweave

A command-line tool that splits a finished project into logical, reviewable commits instead of creating one massive commit. It is designed to avoid fabricating history; its history mode relies exclusively on actual file modification timestamps.

  • analyze → plan → apply
  • Dry-run by default
  • Fast scanning with C

fur

A lightweight command-line shell. It executes external programs, provides built-in directory commands, and allows the command prompt to be customized through an optional configuration file.
